Elephant Elements

I’m mad about jungle animals. Giraffes are my favourite, followed by zebras, lions, elephants and tigers.

A friend of mine had her first baby – a boy – yesterday. I caught a glimpse of the very stylish nursery last week, which was decorated in chocolate and red, with dots and elephants. Loving any excuse to go shopping for anything to match the story, I came up with this… It’s a small cushions (35 x 35) because normal size cushions look out of place on babies things, and also because my friend is stylishly minimalist, and I only wanted to add a touch of something to the glamour she’d created.

I’m not sure if I’ll do any more of these, mainly because I’m pretty focused on re creating the Paris/Scandinavian bag (which will need a better title, of course), having found some other awesome canvas colours (in addition to the cerise) and co-ordinating patterned fabric for the zip closure. I’ve got about 8 that I’ll make up, and then probably focus on the winter clothes line, cause I have a lot of work to do before April / May…but maybe I’ll find time to try a giraffe cushion design in the interim…?

A few requests here.I love your stuff and wonder if you could make a cushion and a bag before March as my mother, let’s call her “Kez” is going to visit my sister in law “Jen” in the states. Jen is mad about cats. Could you do a lion/ cat cushion for her and also a bag similar to a certain green one that I love? Can you email me with costs and an estimate of when they could be done. Actually, come to think of it, I would like to order a second bag as well for a friend’s birthday in late March. You are one amazing woman- really talented.
