Did she, or didn’t she?

It’s everywhere. Constant debate about whether or not celebrities have had plastic surgery. Before and after photos everywhere, claiming to be evidence of artificial transformations.

Well when I saw these photos of Angelina, I thought it was a bit silly. If you look closely, it in fact doesn’t look like she’s  had any work at all. Sure, her face (and possibly her nose) looks a bit thinner in the later photo, but I think that’s simply because she’s 10 years older and doesn’t have the same baby face.  Also, her hair and make up are entirely different.

Seeing this, I was reminded of some old photos of me. Not because I look in the least like Angelina, but because going back through old photos I’ve noticed how much my face has changed over the years (sans work). See below.

My nose looks narrower now, but I think that’s loss of baby face fat. My eyes look different too, a bit smaller in my youth, but that was probably due to the ginormous eyebrows.

My point is this. Just because our look changes over the years, the necessary conclusion shouldn’t be that the changes are the result of artificial interference.

Except in this case.

That last picture is awful; whatever they did to her lips was just wrong. It’s like she’s got two mouths, one sitting just inside the other.

I saw ‘Rabbit Hole’ the other day and I was fully expecting to be as distracted by her mishapen lips and marble forehead as I had been when watching her in ‘Australia’. Fortunately, she looked fine. Actually, she looked lovely. And there was even one scene where her entire forehead crinkled up, proving that she couldn’t possibly be botoxed. Her mouth was normal. She was very thin, but she always has been. I have always liked her and thought she’s a great actress and the ‘work’ she’s had done – whatever it was – just made me sad to think that her self esteem was that low. I blame her first husband and his crazy cult.

PS I love that she’s letting her hair go back to being red and curly.

She looks so awful. My photos also look as though I could have had work, but of course I haven’t. I’ll email them to you now to look at.
