Utter materialsim

So I said to James, “What about this chair for our new study? It’s a Phillipe Starck and only $500.

(Can’t publish the response).

Me: “Oh, OK you’re right. I’ll just get something from Ikea.”  So, distracted by my unsupportive partner, I ordered this for Harriet’s room (the pink one).

No, she doesn’t need it. No, there is no space in her room for it. And no, I haven’t mentioned its purchase to the aforementioned unsupportive partner. But hey, I could have bought this one.

And I’ve decided after all that, that James is right. That clear one is a waste of money. I’ve seen reason, and I’m getting this for the study instead.
