Hello. I love you.

My brother and sister in law are international couriers. Sounds a bit like drug traffickers, but it's far less sinister.

You see, my brother in law is a pilot, who these days flits between Melbourne and LA.

My sister in law is a mother of three (aka a taxi, cook, cleaner, counsellor, negotiator, Martha Stewart decorator and all round used to doing stuff person).

It's no secret that I have a penchant for online shopping, and all things American.  One of my favourite stores is Pottery Barn, which I first discovered when I was in LA at the time of my engagement.  Anyway, I've fondly kept up with it's stock since then, and have never taken my eye off its striped bedlinen.

Look at this.

PB never use to ship to Australia. That may be different now, but you have to call to "discuss".  So, enter brother in law pilot, and sister in law local courier, and this is how my rooms looks now.

The photo doesn't look as good in our room as on the PB site, but it's the same doona, different setting. And anyway, I'm happy.

I looooove Pottery Barn too. And Pottery Barn for Kids. One day when all my dreams come true I will live in the same town as a Pottery Barn and all the staff there will know my name and they will say ‘hello, Trish, back again?’

  2. sophie says:

and then you’ll say, “Yeah, but Soph couldn’ make it because she had to pick the triplets and Harriet up from school.”

  3. Lynne says:

Looks fabulous Soph, definitely think the taupe and white stripe might be heading my way soon….. and in Trish’s dreamland I would work at that Pottery Barn and babysit those triplets!
