Fabric crayons

We had a crafty day today.

I love craft, Harri loves craft, so it's great we can combine the two (because I'm not the best at all day role plays and shops and dolls etcetera).

Anyway, when I saw these at Spotlight, I grabbed them immediately.

All you do is get your little person to draw on a piece of plain paper with these, and then transfer the picture onto plain fabric (like calico), by putting it face down and ironing the back of the paper for a minute or two.  Harri was thrilled when she saw her designs "come to life" but a word of warning. The colours don't come up particularly well on tshirt fabric. So stick to calico.

We made a bag, because I love bags.

A little bit of natural herringbone twill for the handle and a sparkly button for closure, and you're done – your little person's own library bag which they'll carry around with bursting pride. We're thinking of some of these for our little family members for Christmas, so Harri's gearing up to draw a fairy, a princess, a monster and a pirate.
