Harriet loves rainbows.  Who doesn't, for that matter?

I'll say, for example, "What colour should we paint your room?"  I used to expect the answer "Pink," but now I just get "Mmmm…how about a rainbow?"

Tezza was recently walkabout at Ayres rock and sent Harri a terrific garden activity book, which included instructions on how to make a rainbow garden.  Melbourne being what it is, we have waited about 2 months for a sunny weekend to get this underway.

Here's what we started with…

Here's where we stood after a trip to the local nursery. Note the "Grow A Rainbow Garden" instructions.

Harri was a little more excited about the flapping butterfly we'd bought for the finishing touch.

But away to work we went in the rare, glorious sunshine of Sunday morning.

I realise it doesn't yet look like a rainbow, but apparently it will.  I'll keep you posted.

Happy Harri helper cleaned up and then, in usual Sunday style, we hit the sewing machine.  More on that later.

Beautiful work Harri. Can’t wait to see it when we wiggle our way down in December.
