Bag Lady

I loved working with wool for that very first cushion, I decided to try my hand at making a wool bag (pure wool, that is, not wool felt). I had nearly a month of sleepness nights about zips, lining, straps and materials, but came out the other end effectively knowing how to sew. I haven’t posted photos of the two wools bags I’m most proud of, simply because they don’t photograph well when I’m behind the lense. I’m going to see a dear friend at Christmas who happens to love shooting stuff (http://lightsweetcrude.typepad.com), and shoots beautifully. I’m going to ask her to capture on film what I’ve made.

In the meantime, this is the range that I made when I swapped to cotton (for summer). Three varieties, for three different personalities. My favourite thing about all of these bags is the fabric for the lining is just as special as the outside…not a surprise given that the first suit I bought was purchased because of its shot silk lining alone.
